What We do?

We at Fortune SuPoshan aim to utilize a lifecycle approach to address the issues of malnutrition and anaemia at our project sites across India.

As a developing nation, today one of our biggest concerns is malnutrition and anaemia. With around 35.5% of children under the age of 5 being stunted, 32.1% underweight, 19.3% wasted, and 67.1% are still suffering from anaemia. On the other hand, 52.2% of pregnant women & 57% of women in general age group 19-45 years are anaemic. (Source: NFHS-5)

We work with a team of development professionals and Sanginis by continuously training them on issues relating to malnutrition & anaemia. Our SuPoshan Sanginis spread awareness on these issues and facilitating a behaviour change in the communities in rural India.

Objectives of Fortune SuPoshan project:
  1. Improving health & nutrition status of acute malnourished children up to 5 years of age, with timely identification and curative action
  2. Strengthening health & nutrition status of adolescent girls, pregnant & lactating women
  3. Creating a pool of sustainable resources at the community level
  4. Instilling positive knowledge for integrated behavior change
